Dr. Anna Simpson, DVM

Dr. Simpson received her doctorate from Auburn University in 2006. She then completed a rotating internship at the University of Pennsylvania where she fell in love with emergency medicine. She has been practicing emergency medicine for over 5 years, and we were excited to have her join our organization in 2010.

Dr. Alicia Burkett, DVM

Dr. Burkett graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She graduated “With Distinction” Honors and was a member of the Phi Zeta Honors Society of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she completed a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Dr. Burkett enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but her primary interests are emergency and critical care. She is originally from Indiana where most of her immediate family resides. Dr. Burkett and her husband Christopher, share their home with 4 dogs and 4 cats. They are excited to explore the coastal region of North Carolina while learning new skills such as surfing, kayaking and boating. She joined the emergency and critical care team here at Animal Emergency & Trauma Hospital in the summer of 2012.

Dr. Danielle Moore, DVM

Dr. Moore received her doctorate from Iowa State University in 2002. She has been a member of our emergency staff since 2008.

Dr. Christine Klippen, DVM

Dr. Klippen received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Colorado State University in 2009. She has spent the last three years practicing emergency medicine in San Antonio, Texas with a referral specialty and critical care facility. We were excited to have her join our program in April 2012 as one of our rotating clinicians.
